Youth/Teen Programs
Junior Guard Program (ages 10 or older):
This course will include viewing videos, discussion, and skill practice. Participants will be introduced to first-aid, CPR, and rescues with an emphasis on water safety for themselves and pool users. Practice sessions will require strenuous physical activity. After successful completion of the class, candidates may be eligible for the Junior Lifeguard Volunteer Program.
$90.00/SPB Resident, $100.00/Non-Resident
Participants must be able to demonstrate the following on the first day: 100 yard front crawl, tread for 2 minutes, submerge and swim 10 yards underwater.

Pool Team (ages 5 or older):
Florida West Coast Aquatic Swim Team is an age-divided, competitive, year-round swim team that practices daily and competes in local, state and national USS sanctioned meets. A current USS membership is required of all swimmers. S.C.U.B.A. Camp (ages 10 and older):
Course held at the St. Pete Beach Community Center Pool
The camp is a one-week program that includes classroom, pool sessions and open water dives. After the completion of the course participants will earn their Junior Open Water Diver Certification.
The course fee is $400.00 and includes student kit, use of SCUBA gear and wetsuits. Students must have their own mask, fins, snorkel, weights, weight belt and boots.
