St. Pete Beach Youth Council

The St. Pete Beach Youth Council was established in the Summer of 2014 to provide a voice for the youth of our community. This ad–hoc council is intended to consist of teens from St. Pete Beach. The Youth Council’s mission is to serve the common good of the community and provide a voice for youth in decisions and policies of the City. The Council has been active in the community and created a short film about the importance of keeping the beaches clean, that gained recognition from the Florida League of Cities, which resulted in winning second place of their video competition. The St. Pete Beach Youth Council focuses on community service projects, promoting youth activism, and youth involvement as well as having a voice in City Commission meetings.

Membership is open to anyone between the ages of 12-18 living in St. Pete Beach or attending school in the City.

Meetings take place at the St. Pete Beach Community Center on the second Thursday of each month.
